ARCI recently had the honor and privilege of facilitating The Artist’s Way Women’s Retreat at the beautiful ARC Retreat Center near Cambridge, MN. I was honored to witness and interact with a group of women who were courageous, vulnerable, honest, fearless, joyful and also in touch with their sadness and grief. The wisdom and creativity of this group of women amazed and delighted me. Watching them connect with each other, share their stories, build trust with one another, become vulnerable, open and willing was truly a gift to me. As the retreat evolved and progessed, it took on a life of its own. So much of the retreat experience depends upon the group of women and the energy that is created within the group. For me this retreat was truly a labor of love, creativity, stepping outside my comfort zone, asking for help and support, letting go, being fearless and stepping into my power. I spent the last 3 months writing content, marketing, designing an 18 page booklet for the participants, creating exercises, choosing music and more. What a journey it has been. I am filled with gratitude for the amazing women who shared their last 2 days and nights with me. You are all so creative, resourceful, courageous, talented, brilliant, inspirational and I dedicate this blog post to you. You know who you are!

I would be remiss if I did not mention the beautiful peaceful ARC Retreat Center and the incredible staff who took such good care of us. The ARC is located on 90 acres of wooded land near Cambridge, MN and it is truly a peaceful and relaxing oasis. A place to rest, renew, replenish, rejuvenate and relax. A big shout out to the amazing staff who made our retreat such a delightful experience. The food was  nutritious and nourishing (all made from scratch) and the staff was so warm and welcoming. Their attention to detail, helpfulness and availability helped to make our retreat truly memorable. Here’s the link to the ARC website: www.arcretreat.org. Check it out, you’ll be glad you did.

Thanks for your comments Kelly. I am feeling grateful, inspired, validated, empowered and full of joy. It was truly an amazing experience and I have learned so much. Already brainstorming topics for my next retreat. And I am going on a 2 day rest and renewal retreat at the ARC in 2 weeks to re-energize:)

Thanks Linda. Lots of walking in faith to bring the retreat into reality and it was so worth it. I am already thinking about topics for my next one. I think the Artist’s Way will be an annual retreat because so many people are familiar with the material and it is close to my heart.
