Have you ever experienced a period in your life when you felt stuck or stalled in your career? That’s where I am currently living. I recently canceled a retreat due to low registration numbers. Is this the first time, NO it’s not! Does it happen often? No, it doesn’t! Why then, do I get thrown off balance and think this is not the right career path for me? Because I am human, and that’s what we do as human beings.

What am I doing to get unstuck? I have three questions I ask myself? What do I know? What don’t I know? What are my fears? These questions which I have used before, with myself and coaching clients, are powerrful tools. What did I learn this time? I am a skilled Life Coach, retreat designer and leader. Women need what I am offering. I get great satisfaction from the work I do. I am on my right and perfect path. Here’s what I don’t know. Why some retreats fill quickly and others don’t. What new offerings or venues I want to offer my clients. How to be more creative and effective with my marketing. Where to find more clients like Camp duNord, in Ely. They handle all the marketing for their retreats and I show up and lead two workshops in one of my favorite places. Now the fears, the scariest part of this exercise. Am I courageous enough to share these with you? Here goes. I will have to close my business. I will never lead retreats in beautiful, exotic places. I will run out of money. Take a breath, Nancy. You did it! You went to the scary place and shared your fears. Kudos to you!

What about you? Have you ever experienced similar feelings? How did you handle them? Who supported you through this difficult time? What did you learn about yourself? I can help you find the answers because I’ve been there! If you want to step into your Courage like I did, contact me for a FREE strategy session and we can work together to find the answers to these thought provoking questions.

    Nancy,

Thank you for your sharing this. I think it is very brave and insightful for you to do this. Your constant example helps me express and overcome my own fears as well.

    Best,
    Laura
