yellow birdsI am about to begin my fourth 30 Day Passion Project led by Laura West of www.joyfulbusiness.com. It starts on September 8th and I am seriously thinking of doing 30 blog posts in 30 days. I already have a very full plate with a retreat I am facilitating September 12 and a 12 week class starting September 14, and am in the midst of planning a November retreat. I am also participating in three tele classes currently. So, needless to say, this is an ambitious project I am contemplating. On the plus side, I really enjoy blogging and only did one post in August. This would definitely get me focused on blogging again. On the minus side, it usually takes me at least an hour to do a blog post. What might I learn about myself if I take on this commitment? What is the silver lining? How will I feel if I accomplish my goal? Who will support me during the 30 days? How can this be easy? How can this be fun? That’s it for today, stay tuned!

What about you? What will you commit to today? How can you challenge yourself? Who will support you if you take a big, bold action? How will you feel about yourself?

Thanks Elda. I agree with you, the answers come after the commitment is made. I have decided to journal every day for 30 days in order to access my inner wisdom and spirit guides to see what’s next for me. Thanks for your support!

Excellent questions you presented here. What I have found is that the answers arrive AFTER the commitment is made. It reminds me of the quote, “Leap, and the net will appear.” Whatever you decide to do, you know we are all here for you. Happy Passion Project!

Thanks Amy, nice to hear from you again:) Sounds like you have your priorities in order. Good for you for taking a break from blogging. Much as I love it, I also need to take a break from it occasionally.

Thanks for your comments Sue. Yes, busy is good as long as the things I am busy with are filling my creative well, and they are:)

Thanks Deborah. I think my Passion Project will be a combination of reading and/or writing something creative every day for 30 days. That feels a little more manageable then blogging every day for 30 days. And yes, being in a supportive group like the 30 Day Passion Project is energizing, supportive and creative, all at the same time:)

    Hi Nancy,

That is a good question. I have not been blogging much this summer because I want to focus on my home. So I am committed to that. I am committed to my yoga. I am committed to eating healthy foods. I am committed to my family. These are all things that have my made my life very blessed.

    Nancy,
So excited to hear about your project- and boy do you have a full plate! I guess we would be bored without so many things going on at once, right?

One of the bonuses of being super busy is how focusing can become so much easier. Sounds like you’ve got some exciting things planned, and it’s fun to play in a group and get support while you’re working on a project as well. Can’t wait to hear what you decide your project will be.

Nancy we’ll be here to read them. And another thing, I find when one blogs a lot they tend to get deeper and more interesting, hopefully because the veil drops away and the real person steps forward.

Thanks Kelly. I am already having second thoughts about 30 days of blogging. My project may morph into writing or reading something creative every day for 30 days. That gives me space to blog, write content for my next retreat, read the Prosperous Heart by Julia Cameron and more. Tuesday is the start date and I have until then to noodle ideas:)

Very good exercise. Have a look at Tariki Trust website, it is psychology based on Buddhism. They do online courses and I studied there. Maybe you will find it interesting.

What a great bunch of questions. “Who will support you?” is popping out at me right now. Thanks for giving me something to ponder … and all best on your own pondering!

Good on you! Go for it, Nancy. Reminds me of the Wayne Gretzky quote “you miss 100 percent of the shots you never take.”
