tulipsThe idea for this blog post came from a little booklet called Daily Word. I read it each morning as part of my meditative practice. The reading on Friday, July 3rd talked about planting seeds as a metaphor for the power of our thoughts. If we plant seeds of doubt, fear, anxiety, worry, lack or limitation, that’s what will blossom or bloom for us. If we plant seeds of love, compassion, kindness, prosperity, peace, gratitude that’s what will manifest in our lives. This is such a powerful metaphor for me. It speaks to how powerful our thoughts can be, negative or positive. Today I choose affirmative thoughts, seeds of joy, health, abundance, gratitude, faith, courage and loving kindness. My life will bloom like a beautiful summer garden when I plant positive seeds. What about you? What seeds will you plant in your garden today? When will you weed out the negative thoughts in your garden? How can you plant more healthy seeds in your garden?

It’s one of my favorite metaphors. I am a visual person so it’s easy for me to transport myself to a beautiful garden full of vibrant flowers in a variety of hues and colors. Thanks for your comments Kama!
