tulipsEvery morning after I write my Morning Pages, I take time for prayer and reflection. One of the books I read from is Daily Word from Unity. It is a small booklet jam packed with wisdom and positive thoughts. Today’s reading talked about the boundless possibilities in the garden of my life. Here are a few thoughts from the reading. “My choices determine what thrives in my life’s garden. I choose what I wish to plant and sow seeds of peace, love, and strength. At times I might feel tempted to dig and see whether the seeds are germinating, but gardening is an act of faith. With proper care, the desired results will blossom.” Like a garden, my thoughts will bring positive results if I plant positive seeds in my mind. I nurture these thoughts with gratitude, faith, and trust. I weed out negative beliefs and replace them with seeds of possibility and visions of what I want to blossom in my life. Today I am planting seeds for my May retreat at ARC Retreat Center. I am affirming the right women will be there and I know the retreat will be amazing because of the women who attend.

What about you? What are you planting in your garden today? What do you want to harvest in your garden?  What weeds need to be pulled? How will you nurture and care for your garden? Your choices will determine what thrives in the garden of your life. Make wise choices today!

I invite you to join me at my May retreat, The Masks We Wear, the Journey to Our Authentic Self, May 11-13. There’s still time to sign up and I would love to have you join us! Details are on my Events Page.

Thanks Elda. Remember that gardening is an act of faith so stop digging up that dirt to peek:) I do the same thing so your comment brought a smile to my face. I think gardening is also an act of patience.

I love reading the Daily Word! It’s not an everyday read for me, but I dip into it and out of it with delight. As for my own garden: Today I’m cultivating rest.

Such a great reminder. I had to laugh because I am constantly told this analogy of how I have planted seeds in regards to this or that and how I need to not try to scratch the dirt so to speak trying to rush the growth. Thanks for the smile today!

Great post. Today I choose to plant seeds of nurturing, of self-love, of possibilities.

Wishing you all the best with your seeds and with your retreat – may there be much flowering! Today I’m planting seeds for ease and grace as I make decisions on what current projects to focus on and which to set aside for a bit, knowing all is well.

Thanks for your comments Deborah and your good wishes! I love the idea of ease and grace. Two questions that I use on a regular basis when I’m feeling stuck are How can this be easy? and How can this be fun? All is well!
