Possibilities are all around us if we are in the flow of our lives. The following acronym came to me as I walked in nature this morning.

Potential

Opportunities

Surround and

Spiral

Into ideas

Becoming

Inspiration

Leading

Into

Tremendous

Innovative

Energetic

Synchronicity

How many times have you had an idea and let it go because your inner critic said “Are you kidding?” or “Who do you think you are?”

Julia Cameron talks about recovering a sense of possibility in her best selling book The Artist’s Way. She states that “Recovery is the process of finding the river and saying yes to its flow, rapids and all. We startle ourselves by saying yes instead of no to opportunities.” And I would also add possibilities. The following exercise from The Artist’s Way is all about possibilities. It’s called Wish List and you number 1-20 and complete the following phrase “I wish……………” This is meant to be done quickly without thinking, judging, analyzing. It’s amazing what pops up in this exercise, all sorts of possibilities appear.

What about you? How can you move from scarcity thinking to anything is possible? What is the next courageous step for you? How do you block possibilities by limiting the good you can receive? How can you get out of your own way? What is your intuition trying to tell you?

“Start by doing the necessary, then do what’s possible, and suddenly you are doing the impossible.” -St Francis of Assisi

Great Blog,llNancy! Just have a comment on the Comment from SKJAM . I truly believe the words of St Francis does answer his concern:start by doing the necessary, then do what is possible, and suddenly you are doing the impossible(GOLD)! This does not mean to great abandon we should blindly forge ahead, but not be riddled with past Baggage before we can let the possible flow into the improbable!

To my way of thinking, that is FAITH becoming ACTION! Thank you again for showing us the way of the ARTIST’S WAY! Your leadership makes all the difference !!! Student ,Kathleen

Unfortunately, the thing that immediately springs to mind with “scarcity thinkiing” is political, which I don’t want to think about too hard.

I’d say, “anything is possible, but some things are highly improbable.” Being able to soberly weigh the possibilities, and then choose courageously, seems a better idea than blindly going for the gold.

Funny how you talk about scarcity thinking as I have been slowly and luxuriously allowing the Lynne Twist’s book, The Soul of Money, to reveal itself to me. So many ways to look at plenty.
