One of my favorite topics is gratitude! Recently I was invited to join a facebook group called Nuggets of Gratitude. The group was created by Carolyn Jones to remind us that every day there is always something to feel grateful for. Each day members share their inspiration, wisdom and gratitude and I feel good when I read the various posts. My spirit is lifted and I am reminded of how much I have in my life to be grateful for. My attitude of gratitude releases a powerful flow of good energy in all areas of my life. As I focus on gratitude, I seek out new opportunities, I am willing to try new things, I am open to taking risks. Gratitude keeps my focus on the positive, the glass half full, the possibilities that await me. As some of you know I write Morning Pages every day, three pages of stream of consciousness writing. It is a practice from the book The Artist’s Way by Julia Cameron. Gratitude comes up in my pages on a regular basis. If I am feeling any sort of lack or limitation, I write about it and a shift occurs. I ask myself the question, what am I grateful for today? There is so much to be grateful for, my health, my family, friends, my clients, doing work that I love and so much more. I appreciate the many gifts I have been given today.
“If the only prayer you said in your life was thank you, that would suffice.” -Meister Eckhart
What about you? What are you grateful for today? How can you develop an attitude of gratitude? What are the gifts available to you when you come from a place of gratitude? Please share your thoughts on gratitude with me. I love to hear from you!
