candles As I  wrote my Morning Pages today, I came up with the following check list and thought I would share it with you.
 Just For Today
  • Give yourself at least one hug
  • Spend time in nature
  • Reach out to a friend you haven’t connected with lately
  • Treat yourself to a delicious cup of coffee or tea at the local coffee shop
  • Set aside time for quiet reflection, prayer or meditation
  • Be of service, help someone out and allow someone to help you
  • Make a Gratitude List
  • Do something creative, color, doodle, journal, write a poem
  • Smile at everyone you meet
  • Ask the cashier at the grocery store how his/her day is going

I am a list maker and I enjoy checking things off my list as the day progresses.  This particular list put me in a positive mindset and I thought about all that I have to be grateful for today. I hope you find my Just For Today check list useful.

Thanks for your comments Kimberly. Isn’t it amazing how a simple hello or “how is your day going?” can transform someone’s day? So often, the other person will respond with “And how is your day going?” so it’s a win/win:)

Dear Nancy, I especially love the reminder to talk to the cashier at the grocery. It always makes me happy to let them know I see them and care about them. And the smile a everyone i meet too. It makes a world of difference when someone smiles at me.
