The dictionary defines abundance as plentiful, sufficient, ample, more than enough, copious. Wayne Dyer says “Abundance is not something we acquire. It is something we tune into.” Suze Orman states, “Abundance is about being rich, with or without money.” Here’s what Epicurus had to say about abundance, “Not what we have but what we enjoy, constitutes our abundance.” From Eckhart Tolle we hear, “Acknowledging the good you already have in your life is the foundation for all abundance.” The following quote is from Louise Hay, one of my favorites, “I am an unlimited being accepting from an unlimited source in an unlimited way.”

For me abundance is about appreciating and being grateful for what I already have. It is a state of mind, a belief system, an affirmation of the abundance already present in my life. Imagine what it might feel like to accept from an unlimited source in an unlimited way as an unlimited being. Why then do we limit ourselves and the abundance in our lives? Is it because we deem ourselves unworthy or not good enough? What can we do to stop these thoughts of lack, limitation or not enough? One technique I use are affirmations. Affirmations are strong, positive statements in present tense which say to the Universe, I am ready, I am open to receive. Here are a few that I use on a regular basis. “I live in Abundance.” “I have everything I need today.” “I am a magnet attracting an Abundance of clients to me.”

What about you? Are you living an abundant life? What does abundance look like for you? How can affirmations be a powerful tool for you? If you have thoughts of lack or limitation, how can you shift those to thoughts of abundance?
